Students Enrolled at Another institution

If you’re currently enrolled at another college or university and you plan to take limited coursework at NDSU with the intention of transferring your NDSU credits to your home institution, you should follow the application procedures for non-degree student status.

Additional Conditions
  • Non-degree-seeking students are limited to 15 total attempted undergraduate credits and are not eligible for state or federal financial aid.
  • Some courses are limited to students in select programs of study or in specified classifications (such as junior or senior status); some are also restricted by prerequisite or corequisite coursework. If restrictions are placed on the courses in which you are interested in enrolling as a non-degree-seeking student, you can seek permission to enroll through the appropriate academic department. Specific information by course is available in the course catalog.
  • Students must re-apply separately if they wish to change from a non-degree to a degree-seeking student
